Godzilla el Kaiju mas famoso del mundo, vio su origen en 1954 con una película del mismo nombre, fue producida por Toho y con la dirección de Ishiro Honda, el cual en el futuro dirigiría varias películas de otros Kaijus, su creación fue un enunciado al terror nuclear, provocado por el uso de dos bombas nucleares durante la segunda guerra mundial en tierra japonesa.
El origen de Godzilla se remonta dese la era Shōwa (1954-1975), desde ahí en adelante no han parado de salir nuevas adaptaciones, con mas o menor éxito. Godzilla es sin duda el monstruo mas famoso en todo el mundo, en base a su entidad se han contado todo tipo de historias, han aparecido películas, series animadas, comics, juegos y por supuesto una gigantesca cantidad de merchandising tanto oficial como no oficial.
